The gambling industry founds Gambling Advertising Board
A year ago, the gambling industry decided to set up a gambling advertising board, aiming to decide on cases complaining about gambling marketing in Denmark. The Gambling Advertising Board has now been occupied by chairman and members and has been formally established.

Thus, it is now possible to complain about the marketing of gambling in Denmark. The goal is to move the gambling industry in a more responsible direction. In the summer of 2018, the gambling industry agreed on a code of conduct for the entire industry, and with the final constitution and establishment of the Gambling Advertising Board, this constructive collaboration will continue. The intention of the board is that together the gambling industry can create a better marketing culture, increased self-justice and common guidelines.
The board's secretariat is managed by business and employers' organization HORESTA.
Morten Rønde is director of the industry organisation Spillebranchen (Danish online gambling association), and he is pleased that the constitution of the board and its formal establishment is now finally in place:
"I am pleased that the constitution and the formal establishment of the Gambling Advertising Board are now finally in place. In the gambling industry, we are very aware that we bear a responsibility for the players. With the Gambling Advertising Board, we have an effective "watchdog", which must help to ensure and maintain a responsible and ethical marketing of gambling", he says.
The board has already received one complaint and has also chosen to take up another case on its own.
The board is composed of five members. One chairman who is a judge, two representatives from the gambling industry and two members representing the players.

- Board member Erik Jensen,, Danish Casino Association Casino Copenhagen
The latter two members only join the board instead of the lottery representative if the complaint submitted relates to land-based gaming machines or a land-based casino.
