Danes spent more on online casino in 2024

Figures from the Danish Gambling Authority show that the spending on several gambling categories increased in 2024. Especially onlinecasino experienced a growth compared with 2023.
The Danish Gambling Authority has published statistics on the Danish gambling market covering December 2024. Thereby, statistics for all of 2024 are now available on the Danish Gambling Authority's website.
The 2024 figures show that the gambling spend on online casino was DKK 3,520 million corresponding to a increase of 14.4 per cent compared with 2023. Also betting and land-based casinos have experienced a minor increase of just over 1 per cent compared with the previous year.
On the other hand, the figures show a minor fall in the spending on gaming machines of just over 1 per cent in 2024. All figures are stated in current prices.
Figures on lotteries in 2024 will be available during spring 2025.
