Addition of requirements for inspection standards for land-based betting

14, Sep 2023

The Danish Gambling Authority has prepared new requirements for inspection standards for land-based betting. On 20 April 2023, these were submitted for consultation, and on 25 May 2023 they were sent for notification by the European Commission.

The standstill period has now expired, and the updated document is available below, along with the updated standard reports.

On 1 October 2023, the Executive Order no. 1140 on introduction of Player ID for land-based betting (of 28 August 2023) will enter into force. An inspection for land-based betting must therefore be made in accordance with the new requirements.

The changes must be implemented by the licence holder no later than 1 October 2023.

Transition period

From 1 October 2023, the licence holder has a transition period of three months to have the requirements inspected.

The Danish Gambling Authority must receive an updated certification report for "Inspection standards for land-based betting", SCP.02.02, as documentation for the changes no later than 31 December 2023.
