Have you discovered illegal gambling or illegal advertising?

If you come across illegal gambling or advertising for illegal gambling, you can report it to the Danish Gambling Authority.

Report illegal gambling or advertising

It is very helpful if you can provide:

  • the domain name or the name of the operator or media outlet
  • the address, if it concerns a physical gambling location
  • the date when you observed the illegal gambling or advertisement

Please attach documentation of the potentially illegal gambling or advertisement, such as photos or screenshots.

When you report a potential violation, you will generally not be informed if we decide to take further action.

If the Danish Gambling Authority receives a report that falls outside our area of responsibility, we will do our best to guide you to the correct authority.

What happens after you submit a report?

When you submit a report to the Danish Gambling Authority, it becomes part of our ongoing supervision of the gambling market, where we assess whether the gambling activity or advertisement violates the law.

Operators offering illegal gambling will receive a formal request from the Authority to stop the illegal activity. If the operator does not comply, we may take the case to court to have the website blocked and/or report the operator to the police.

Similarly, we may ask media outlets that advertise gambling or gambling operators without a licence to stop the illegal advertising. If the media outlet does not comply, we may report them to the police.
