The Danish Ministry of Taxation has submitted the draft proposal for the Act on Amendment of Act on Gambling and the Gambling Duties Act with a view to implementing the political agreement on lotteries of the 20th of March 2024.

From 1 January 2025, suppliers of games must have a licence from the Danish Gambling Authority to supply games to gambling operators with a Danish licence to offer betting and online casino. The Danish Gambling Authority accepts applications from the 1st of September 2024.

The Danish Gambling Authority has released statstics for May 2024. The figures show that the total gambling spend on betting, online casino, gaming machines and land-based casino decreased in May 2024 compared to May 2023.
