Cafe Retro – Brøns Kro ApS fined by the District Court of Sønderborg for breaching the Gambling Act

The breach consisted of offering games on slot machines during the period from 6 October 2025 to 9 January 2026 without a licence from the Danish Gambling Authority.

On 8 May 2026, the South Jutland Police issued a fine notice for the offence, but due to a lack of response from Cafe Retro – Brøns Kro ApS, the notice was subsequently brought before the District Court of Sønderborg.
 
The District Court of Sønderborg found Cafe Retro – Brøns Kro ApS guilty as charged and, on that basis, imposed a fine of DKK 12,730 and ordered the company to pay the costs of the case.
