The Danish Gambling Authority encourages young men to give gambling a summer break with new ROFUS campaign

Summer means holiday and many sporting events, and that means plenty of opportunities to gamble. With a new campaign, the Danish Gambling Authority reminds people to "take it easy with ROFUS" during the summer holidays.

On 13 July, the Danish Gambling Authority will launch the campaign "Send your game on a summer holiday", which encourages Danes to take a break from gambling with ROFUS (Register of Voluntarily Excluded Players).

"Does your game need an all-inclusive trip to Crete?"

"Send your game on a summer holiday" consists of still images and short animation videos in two versions, which, with blue skies and palm trees in the background, ask whether the game should be sent on an all-inclusive trip to Crete or a week away to Alanya. With the message "Send your game on a summer holiday – Take it easy with ROFUS", the campaign aims to get the target group to reflect on their gambling consumption and consider whether it is time to take a break from gambling.

The holiday destinations Alanya and Crete have been chosen to appeal to a younger audience, and the campaign is featured, among other places, at Copenhagen Airport, so you are reminded to give gambling a break when you go on holiday.

The campaign is a continuation of the "Take it easy with ROFUS" campaign, which was launched for the first time in 2024, and aims to make ROFUS more relevant to young people.

In ROFUS, you can choose between breaks of 24 hours, one, three or six months, or a permanent exclusion lasting at least one year.

The campaign "Send your game on a summer holiday" runs from 13 July to 2 August on Facebook, Instagram and on digital screens at Copenhagen Airport.
