Gambling market in July 2026: Online casino and betting drive increase in gambling spend
Figures from the report show that total gambling spend in July 2026 increased by 17.2% compared with the same month last year. Betting saw an increase of 21.3%, while online casino rose by 22.0%.
Slot machines experienced a slight decline of 0.1%. Land-based bingo fell by 7.9%, and land-based casinos saw a decrease of 4.0%.
New filter in the statistics shows GDP-adjusted figures
A new filter has been added to the monthly statistics, making it possible to view figures adjusted according to Denmark’s gross domestic product (GDP). The adjusted figures are calculated based on the level of the current year (e.g. 2026 level this year), as set out in the Ministry of Taxation and Economic Growth’s latest Economic Survey. Comparisons with previous years will always be based on the adjusted figures for the current year’s level.
It is still possible to view figures presented at nominal level in the monthly statistics.
