Class presentation on responsible gambling behaviour (approx. 60 minutes)
Do you find that gambling takes up a lot of space in your students’ lives, even though many of them are under 18?
More and more young people gamble on online casinos or bet on sports, and many have been introduced to gambling at an early age. We deliver an engaging presentation that helps young people understand how games are designed, giving them a realistic view of their gambling habits and their chances of winning.
We do this without lecturing them, using activities that get students out of their seats and involved.
Even though the age limit for most gambling products is 18, we believe it is important for young people to learn early on how to maintain a healthy balance with gambling. That is why we talk to them about how to keep gambling at a level where it remains an entertaining activity.
Gambling addiction and problem gambling
For some, gambling can develop into a problem and, in the worst cases, lead to gambling addiction. We want to reach young people before it gets that far, but we also explain how to get help if gambling becomes a problem — for example through our self‑exclusion system ROFUS (Register of Voluntarily Excluded Players) or our helpline StopSpillet, where we offer advice and guidance on responsible gambling.
The presentation is best suited for students in their second or third year of upper‑secondary education.
