Betting

Betting are games where the participants try to predict the result of an event. Not only betting on sporting events are covered by the term. A wager on who becomes the next prime minister is also considered betting.

Betting is only covered by the Gambling Act if the participants:

Pay a stake (money or similar)
Through the payment have a chance of winning a prize (all kinds of prizes)

Betting with stakes and prizes must only be provided with a licence issued by the Danish Gambling Authority.

Betting is covered by the Anti Money Laundering Act.
