Open gambling arcades and casinos affect gambling spend in Q2 2022
The Danish Gambling Authority has released its Q2 2022 statistics. Data from the quarterly statistics shows, that the total gross gaming revenue (GGR) for betting, online casino, gaming machines and land-based casino in Q2 2022 amounted to DKK 1,688 million.
This is a year-on-year increase of DKK 116 million, equalling 7.4 percent. The total increase is especially due to land-based casinos, gambling arcades and bars being open for all of Q2 2022, while they were closed for a period of Q2 2021 as a consequence of Covid-19 measures.
