The Danish Gambling Authority has now published its annual report 2017.
The annual report describes the Danish Gambling Authority’s activities in 2017 in the areas that are supervised by the authority:
- Charity lotteries
- Lotteries
- Land-based casino
- Public poker tournaments
- Gaming machines
- Betting and online casino
In addition, it describes different focus areas that have been significant in 2017:
- Liberalisation of gambling on horse racing and online bingo
- Responsible gambling
- Marketing
- Money laundering and financing of terrorism
- Match-fixing
- International cooperation
An annual report with more statistics and infographics
In the annual report you will find the section “The year in numbers”, which contains statistics on the development in the gambling area. Compared to previous years, this chapter is significantly extended with among other thing a section on numbers on Danes’ average consummation of gambling products and a comparison of Denmark and other countries. In addition, the relation between land-based and online gambling is describes and it also includes a section on the use of bonuses. This year, many of the numbers are illustrated with infographics.
A shorter version of this chapter is collected in an insert that provides a general overview of the development in the gambling area.
