Special conditions for the use of betting terminals
This information of 14 December 2011 concerns conditions for licences.
The Danish Gambling Authority sets the following terms and conditions in licences for betting:
Provision of land based betting
- Sale of betting may only take place in shops, betting shops and land based casinos. By betting shops we mean shops where you mainly sell games.
- Sale of betting cannot take place in premises with an alcohol permit unless it concerns a betting shop or a land based casino.
- In shops you may only set up terminals which are operated by staff.
- In betting shops and land based casinos you may set up:
- Terminals operated by staff.
- Terminals where the player logs on his gaming account with the licence holder.
- Betting on the result of electronically simulated sports events may only be provided in betting shops.
With regard to the interpretation of shops where you mainly sell games we mean shops where minimum 51 per cent of the revenue originates from games. It is not a requirement that the revenue only originates from betting but it may also originate from gaming on i.e. gaming machines. You must be aware that according to the gaming act you may not sell betting or other games in a gaming machine arcade.
All employees in a shop where you mainly sell lottery and betting must be 18 years of age.

Correction for Newsletter no. 4
By mistake it was the wrong versions of conditions which were published on our website on 9 December 2011. The link in Newsletter no. 4 has therefore been changed.
Apart from the conditions which appear from Newsletter no. 4, licence holders must also be aware of the conditions which we published in Newsletter no. 1.
